The purpose of the Metropolitan Network of the Diocese is to contribute to the preservation, conservation, study and promotion of the ecclesiastical wealth and Christian character of the island.

Its objectives are:

• To present a series of images from the vibrant religious, artistic and cultural tradition of the island through the model of the " living experience"

• To achieve a complementary, non-competitive operation with other cultural and financial operators

• To contribute to the development of religious and thematic tourism and to the overall advancement economic sustainability

• To achieve the commitment of local societies and economic groups, helping to develop regional and non-localistic consciousness
