An important objective was the utilization and integration of the exhibition space with the church and the other spaces of the building complex, thus enabling the Museum to 'breathe' and to acquire spaces that will be beneficial for its operation and to balance out the excessive visitation rate of the Church with the previously observed almost non-existent visitation of this very important collection.

Particular emphasis was placed on meeting the needs of the visitors, whom we are trying to "win" through the more anthropocentric design of the exhibition and the provision of multifaceted interactive information that aims to help them in their choices and their time management. It is aspired that the visitors will thus become ambassadors and bearers of the messages delivered by the Network of Christian Museums and Visitable Monuments of the Holy Diocese of Rhodes.
