The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Church of the Dormition, Lindos in which we find ourselves was the first network node that was launched. Both the museum and the Holy Church of the Dormition is currently open to visitors.

 

'The mysteries and the ritual of the Church' and

'The Diocese of Rhodes over the centuries'

The Metropolitan Museum of St. George in the monastery complex of Chourmali is located in the city of Rhodes and it is the central node of our Network. Interventions on the site have not yet been completed and thus the monument is not open to visitors at present.

'The Architecture of the Churches of Rhodes'

The ecclesiastical museum is to be implemented in the Holy Church of St. Nicholas Fountoukli. The interventions on site have not been completed, however the Holy Church is open to visitors.

 

'Monastic communities and spirituality'

The museum will be housed in the building complex of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Ypsenis. It has not been implemented yet, although the Holy Monastery of Panagia Ypsenis, located near the village of Lardos, to the west of the village of Lindos is currently open to visitors.

'Folk religious tradition'

The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Skiadenis, Skiadi has not been implemented yet. Only the Holy Monastery, which is located in the southwestern part of the island, near the village Mesanagros is currently open to visitors.

'Early Christian Rhodes'

The museum of the Holy Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary will include the Holy Church of the Virgin as well as the visitable excavation of an early Christian basilica found in the area where the church is located. Both spaces are worth visiting as monuments, however the proposed actions have not yet been implemented.

'A pilgrimage of Pan-Orthodox Range'

The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Monastery of Panagia Tsambika is located in Archangelos, Rhodes. It was the first network node that was launched and is currently open to visitors.

 

'Miracles and Wonders'

The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Church of Panagia, Katholiki in Kremasti will be implemented in the area of the old bell-tower. Only the Holy Church is currently open to visitors on a daily basis.

The Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael is located in Tharri, Rhodes, in the island's mainland. It is on the southwest of the village Laerma, and it is currently under implementation. The museum is under construction and it is expected to become open to visitors in October 2015. However, the building complex of the monastery and the Catholicon are currently open to visitors. The Catholicon is an excellent example of church monument ornamented with murals in its entirety, and it is one of the most important in Rhodes and the Dodecanese.

 

'The cycle of the Apocalypse'

The Museum is located in Asclepiion, Rhodes, in the island's mainland. When fully developed, it will incorporate the Holy Church of the Dormition as well as the existing museum, after its harmonization with the standards of the network. The church and the existing museum are currently open to visitors.

 

'Oral traditions and beliefs'

The Museum of the Holy. Monastery of St. Philemon is located near the village Arnitha in the southern part of the island. The museum has not been implemented yet, although the Church of St. Philemon is currently open to visitors.
